Step-by-step

  1. 1Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a tray.
  2. 2Cut 2 chicken breasts into nugget-sized pieces.
  3. 3Coat each piece in flour, then beaten egg, then breadcrumbs.
  4. 4Arrange on tray, drizzle lightly with oil.
  5. 5Bake 12–15 min until golden and cooked through.

Adapt for a picky eater

  • ·Make it milder: skip strong spices, herbs and onions — keep salt, butter or a touch of cheese instead.
  • ·Swap an ingredient: trade anything they avoid for a safe favourite (e.g. cucumber sticks instead of cooked veg).
